Activities related to prevention of abuse and violence against children and youth
In the Year 2011, the coveted “2011 International Prize- for Innovative Prevention of Abuse and Violence against Children and Youth” was conferred upon Udisha by WWSF, which is in consultative status with the ECOSOC of UNO, from amongst around 450 Organizations from all over the world.
It was in recognition of our efforts to arouse awareness against social crimes like child abuse, child labour, eve teasing and rape etc. and to sensitize and train them for self defense and contribute our bit to make this world a better place for children to live.
Many events were organized in Delhi and neighbouring states of Haryana, U.P., Himachal Pradesh, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli with its partner organizations during the Campaign-19 Days Activism.
In the year, 2012 events like Poster Painting Competition, Essay Competition on prevention of female feticides, Elocution Contest and Rallies were organized in a small tribal dominated province – Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
A National Seminar on Combating Crime against Women including Acid Attack was organized and Delhi State Level Speech Competition on Acid Attack was also organized. The trainee teachers from different part of Delhi participated in the Competition.
In the year, 2014, Udisha organized national seminar on prevention of child abuse under 19 Days Campaign- of WWSF in which issues like child abuse, domestic violence, drug addiction and child trafficking were discussed.
During the last four years, Udisha has got support from various educational institutions and Ministries/ Departments of Government of India and Govt. of Delhi and National and Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights and High Curt Bar Association etc. The Women and Child Unit of Delhi Police and the law implementing agencies and caregivers have also associated with the Organization.

Udisha has succeeded to arouse awareness about child rights, prevention of child abuse and combating Crime against Women through events organized during this tenth consecutive year of coalition partnership with WWSF.
Activities related to Environmental Education
Udisha is a national branch of Caretakers of Environment International, a Netherlands based NGO working for environmental education in Secondary Schools. The students and teachers have participated in Global Environmental Youth Conventions held in Lund, Sweden, Torino, Italy and UAE, Dubai. Many seminars, poster painting competitions, debates and walk have been organized for protection of our environment and conservation of energy sources in Delhi, Haryana, U.P., Himachal Pradesh and UTs of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli for the last 14 years.
Initiatives of Udisha for Education and Employment
Job oriented courses (Basic Computer) were conducted in association with other NGOs for 100 students from economically backward sections of the society.

200 trainees were imparted free training in web Designing, Beauty & Health Care, Garment Drafting & construction and Security Guards under the scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.
